“The serum?" Wade asked.
“I’m not sure,” Monty replied. “They were discussing a way to eliminate the enemy. That’s when Bradford III told him about a serum. Yes,” Monty nodded as the memories flowed. “He was working on a serum to clear the memories of discarded children. A serum that alters memories. This man told Bradford to contact him with advancements on the serum.”
Wade looked at the picture. “That's the connection,” he snapped.
“God, if you are right, Senator Rolfeman is a part of the P.I.E. organization and the production of the deadly serum.” Rachel declared.
“Let's not jump to conclusions,” Monty stated. “I mean this is the man that was in Chambers' office when I was a child. However, there is nothing here identifying who these men are.”
Rachel ran back over to the table where her purse was laying. She pulled her tablet out. “Then let's see if we can identify them. "Ross turn on the monitor on the wall.”
Ross turned the monitor on as Rachel touched a couple of keys on her tablet. The information from the tablet appeared on the television monitor. “All right let's do this. Let's search for Jason Rolfeman first.” She keyed in the man’s name. The search results appeared on the monitor. “Okay, let's go to images.” An array of images of Rolfeman, mostly by himself but some with other people, all at a variety of ages appeared.
“That's him,” Monty pointed at the monitor. “That is Rolfeman. He is much younger, but that is the man in this picture.”
“Okay, now let's see if we can identify these other men,” Rachel stated. She opened another tab then keyed in another search. This time she typed in the name Ackerson. Again, an array of images appeared. All at different ages and locations.
“That's him. The other man in the picture,” Ross stated, “That's two down.”
“Let’s just cut to the chase.” Rachel typed in Justice Cunningham. An array of pictures at different ages and stages of his life appeared.
Ross sat back. “That's all three of them. Now, the question is, who is the fourth man?”
“That's a good damn question,” Rachel said as she opened another tab. “Let's do a search on all three names and see what pops up." An array of pictures appeared, each having multiple people in them. All of them looked closely at the monitor to try to find the fourth man in the picture in one of the images.
“That's him,” Drake pointed. “That’s the fourth man in the picture.”
Rachel highlighted the name. They all sat back in disbelief.
“Holy hell. They have a Supreme Court Justice, the head of the Judicial Committee, the head of the head of the Intelligence Committee, and the head of the leading law enforcement agency in the country, Director Vance of the FBI.” Rachel glanced around. “I think it's safe to say they have covered all of their bases, and we are in some big doo-doo right now.”
“This is the reason why Phire is so invested in our situation,” Wade exhaled. “She knew there was something dangerous to the country happening here.”
“Phire? Who is Phire?” Dane asked.
“Sapphire Lassiter-Palmer,” Monty replied. “What's the name of the organization she's heading up?”
“The Administration,” Rachel replied. “TA.”
“And what is their purpose?” Monty asked.
“I don't know,” Rachel exhaled. “What I do know is that her organization’s reach is far and wide. And from the looks of things, we are going to need them.”
“We have to get this information to her right away,” Wade stated. “Like now. We are way over our heads here.”
“But we are not going to just throw the siblings out to the wind, right?” Drake asked. “I mean all of them are not dangerous. Whatever is going on they are not responsible for.”
“No, but the man who is controlling them is,” Wade pulled out his phone. “That is who we need to take down.” He dialed a number then spoke as he waited for it to be answered. “To save our siblings we need to bring Bradford Chambers down. That is where our concentration will go. Phire and her organization will have to handle Rolfeman and his merry men.”
Drake smiled up at him. “You’re a sibling. You included yourself in there.”
“You included my mother when I was going through my situation. If she is mother to all of us like you indicated, that means we are all siblings. We are going to have to try to save as many of them as we can.” Wade turned away. “Phire. I have some information you're going to need to hear.”

PART TWO
Chapter 26
“As instructed, Sergeant Leigh, the person we had working at the prisons, has been reassigned to watch the Tyson family.” Brady began his morning briefing. “What has been determined so far is they all have multiple homes in several states. However, they have all migrated to Virginia. They stay very close to Wade Tyson since his parents' deaths. Combining his abilities with the fact that he is rarely alone is making it difficult to extract him.”
Bradford stood in the office of the new laboratory in Apple Grove, North Carolina looking over the estate. He thought about the Senator’s jest about his selection of this location. For years he had searched for the right place to escape and build his fortress before he settled here. It was remote, yet easy to access from Tennessee or Virginia, the two places he needed to stay connected to. The second reason was he pretty much owned the town. Over the years he had secured the mayor’s position as well as the sheriff, and most of the little city council. They were all created in his lab and loyal to him. All were members of the Society of Intellectual Beings who were conceived in the test tube lab of Chambers Laboratories. He had full control of them and hundreds more he had dispatched over the years.
While his father was attempting to create beings to help the government, Bradford was formulating a plan to take over. No, he was not planning a coup. He did not care one way or another about White Supremacy or Black Lives Matter. His purpose in life was to rule all—period. With his development of a mind controlling serum and the greed of those in power to possess his death at-will serum, he basically had control of major parts of the government in his pocket. It wasn’t enough. His plan was to eventually control all branches of government.
Thinking of his success since killing his father and taking over the S.I.B.s brought joy to his heart. To some the S.I.B.s were human beings just like them. To Bradford they were creations of his father's and were all now his property to do with as he pleased. Thus, the reason for the morning briefing. It seemed, as he predicted to his father years ago, a few of his creations had formed an alliance. He did not know the full extent of their powers since they were dismissed from the experiment. With the S.I.B.s still under his control, he was able to continue with the mind control drug through their daily vitamin regimen. That practice was ingrained into them. Those who were dismissed had gone years without any drugs, yet it appeared the skill of reading other people's thoughts, a skillset he did not possess, was still intact. However, the brothers who were created in the lab weren't where his curiosity lay. It was the one brother, Wade Tyson, whose abilities fascinated him. The combination of the Tysons and his secret weapon could speed up his plan to obtain complete control of the United States.
“Attempting to take him through man-to-man contact is not feasible. We need to render his skills useless then capture him.”
“I have an idea for a new weapon we can develop that may make that task a little easier. Put one of your team members on locating a collection of tranquilizer darts.” Bradford said as his attention returned to the briefing. “Where there is a will, there is always a way, Brady. Continue with your report,” Bradford took a seat behind his desk with a sinister smile on his face.
“The oldest, Specimen M, who now goes by the name of Montrell lives alone. As does Specimen R, who goes by the name of Ross. However, Specimens DD, now called Dane and DDD now referred to as Drake reside together. Sergeant Leigh summarized in his report that he believes those two would be the easiest to capture. He has submitted plans for your approval. Shall I continue to read them to you?”
“No,” Bradford dismissed. “I want our efforts to go toward capturing the one called Wade.”
“All of our contacts with him thus far have proven to be unsuccessful.” Brady stated.
“That is the very reason I want him captured,” Bradford stated emphatically. “His one weakness appears to be that woman reporter. I believe once we capture her, he will come willingly.”
“The last attempt caused us to lose two of our men.”
“A measurable loss. Once we develop the new weapon we will try again.”
“It will be difficult now that they are aware of our interest.”
“You use the word difficult often. You are supposed to be the most intelligent beings on earth. I suggest you find a way to ensure my orders are carried out.”
“Your request will be honored. The second item in the report is on those who escaped the laboratories in Tennessee. The lot of them have been transported to an undisclosed location.”
“How many?” Bradford inquired.
“One hundred and nine women and children in total.” Brady replied.
Bradford sat back. To his way of thinking the total was closer to 143. Each of the thirty-four women left behind were carrying a child. It had been close to a month since they had been without his mind control drugs. There was a strong possibility the drugs in their system may be fading. Based on past experiments, he had approximately sixty days left to extract them before his control began to waver. Leaving them behind was a tactical decision. There was no way he could have escaped with that number of S.I.B.s had he not lessened the load. However, based on what happened in his father’s office with Specimen M, it seemed the drugs had an after effect. Two of the Tyson S.I.B.s were still under his control. Not completely, but enough. It may be worth his while to get all of them back. At the moment, he had no plans on returning to the IVF experiment started by his father. Which meant, after this batch of births, there would be no more new S.I.B.s. It was imperative that he reclaim all of the S.I.B.s which he considered to be his people. Senator Rolfeman's task was becoming increasingly more pertinent to his plans.
“I want all of them returned. They are my property. Advise Sergeant Leigh we will devise another plan to capture the men including Wade Tyson. He may not be a S.I.B., but he has powers that will benefit me once he is under my control.”
Finished with his reporting, Brady stepped out of the office leaving Bradford with his thoughts. There was something eating away at him regarding Wade Tyson. There was something about his mother, Star Bond, that was never clear to him. His father, no matter how many times he inquired, simply refused to speak of the woman. Bradford could only surmise it was out of fear. The only time his father sanctioned a kill was when he learned of Star’s visit with the reporters. The question he could not answer was why his father would have been fearful of Star Bond. What was her connection to him and why did his father keep it from him? There was something about the woman that prevented his S.I.B.s from penetrating her mind. It also seemed the serum when administered to her had no impact. His serum had killed men, women, and children, but not her. And it seemed her son had the same ability to escape his attacks.
Bradford turned to his computer to pull up every document he could find from his father’s files where Star Bond’s name appeared. The limited number of documents dated back close to fifty years ago. There had to be more information than that. While reviewing one of the documents the name Edward Ackerson appeared in connection to Star Bond and DiscoveryU.
“Hmm,” Bradford hummed. “I’ve seen that combination before.” He switched over to the internet then searched for the two names together. He found an article about a lawsuit filed by Edward Ackerson, the attorney for DiscoveryU, claiming Star Bond had stolen a formula that had been developed during her employment with the organization. Since the process was created while she was employed with the organization, they had the rights to all of her findings, summaries, and notes instituted during that time. He found that the court ruled in favor of DiscoveryU. Star Bond was ordered by the court to relinquish all documents related to the formula and was also ordered not to share her knowledge with anyone outside of the organization.
“Interesting,” Bradford sat back wondering what the formula was she had designed. Then he remembered. The formula for his serum originated from information his father discarded from DiscoveryU. He remembered reading information he was ordered by his father to shred and thought it could be useful. He took the information regarding the formula then destroyed everything else, including the information on Star Bond. He wondered if the organization would still have the original report to include the information on her and if they did, how he could get his hands on that full document. He knew that Congressman Ackerson was a close associate of Senator Rolfeman, the man who had been guiding him since he was eighteen years old, and now had every reason to accommodate him when needed. This was a time of need. He picked up the landline phone on his desk and dialed a number. He then pushed in the number 743 and hung up the phone. He waited, knowing his call would be returned on a secure phone line. His desk phone rang.
“Senator Rolfeman, thank you for returning my call.”
“I did not anticipate hearing from you so soon since our last meeting. I take it you need something.”
“You are familiar with Congressman Ackerson are you not?”
“I am.”
“He was mentioned in an article connected with DiscoveryU. I’m interested in expanding my product and I believe he may be helpful. Are you able to make a connection on my behalf?”
“Tell me what you need from him, and I will see to it that you receive it.”
“The original documents that were turned over to my father regarding the formula and a woman by the name of Star Bond.”
“I will have the information forwarded to you through our normal channels.” Rolfeman replied.
“Excellent. Has there been any progress on the request to return my property to me?”
“They have been located in a facility in Northern Virginia. I am making arrangements to take custody of them.”
Bradford sat back pleased with the information. “For that Senator, you deserve an introduction to our secret weapon. The governor of Virginia will have a function Friday night. Pay attention to how the audience responds to the speakers.”
Chapter 27
Since learning what they had regarding the possibility of the two organizations working in consort with each other, none of the Tyson brothers ventured out alone. Making arrangements for coverage on Wade and Rachel took him longer than anticipated. Now, Monty was running late to the governor’s function.
“Under the circumstances I think you should have cancelled,” Ross, who accompanied him said as they hurried up the stairs leading to the ballroom located at the Main Street Train Station.
“I promised the governor that we would stop by his function this evening. Once all the craziness is over, we are going to need these types of connections.” Monty replied.
Both dressed in black tuxedoes, they made their way into the main ballroom.
“He would have understood,” Ross replied as the vast area of the room came into view.
As anticipated, the place was packed. Everyone in the political arena was present. There were Republicans, Democrats, Independents, and some people who hadn't declared what political party they were affiliated with, gathered on a nonpartisan basis for this event. It was one of the rare times when people in the political arena could actually come together to celebrate the accomplishments of the Commonwealth of Virginia and remember at some point, they had friends on the other side of the aisle.
Monty and Ross arrived just as the second speaker took the stage.
“Let’s stand back here near the bar for now. I don’t want to disturb anyone trying to get to the governor’s table.”
“Sounds like a plan,” Ross nodded.
They stood near one of the bars close to the entrance. Ross motioned to the bartender as Monty glanced around the room.
“What are you having?” Ross nudged Monty just as the speaker took the stage.
Monty did not reply.
“Monty, what are you having?” Ross asked again, then turned to look at him.
“Monty?” Ross's voice was filled with concern.
Monty could not respond. His mind had flashed back to the Chambers facility. He did not know why, but it was a good thing he was leaning against the bar because he was certain that the impact would have knocked him over. Because of the distance, the speaker could not see him. The lights were a little dim in the back of the room. But he could see her clearly, not only with his eyes, but his mind knew exactly who she was.
“It is her…the girl I saved when she was five years old.”
“Who?” Ross asked.
“Specimen N,” Monty whispered before the speaker even announced…
“…Nancy Armstrong representative from the ninth district.”
“Monty,” Ross nudged him. “Are you all right?”
Monty shook his head at Ross. He could not take his eyes off of her as she stepped up to the microphone and began to speak. As curious as he was, he could not concentrate on what she was saying. His mind was wondering why in the hell she was there. Was she discarded like he was? Was she a S.I.B. that somehow escaped the facility? No, his mind told him there was something else happening here. He closed down his thoughts and began to listen intently to what she was saying. It did not take him long to realize the audience was hanging on her every word. She had the entire place captivated. As he listened, she was saying all of the right things from her mouth, but her mind was reading through it as if it was a well-rehearsed speech.
